Overview The
BusinessGuardian solution has been developed specifically for use by small
businesses. Its purpose is
to make communications technology as understandable and easy to use as
possible today, with easy hassle-free migration to newer technology and
services of the future.
The BusinessGuardian X300 solution offers companies with between 8 and
80 employees (upto 112 employees with the BusinessGuardian X600) a communications
platform with the following features: ·
Internet access
Simplicity
The
BusinessGuardian solution integrates all of your communications tools
into one unit, enabling employees to access them directly from their desktop.
Voice mails are delivered by e-mail and e-mails can be listened to over
the phone! This does away with the need for separate devices such as routers,
multiplexers, voice-messaging servers and even fax machines.
Reliability
The
BusinessGuardian system comprises a compact case that accepts a number
of plug-in interface cards. The unit uses Microsoft's NT/2000 architecture
to provide many of its key features, such as fax server and voice messaging.
The unit can also operate as a full PABX in a stand alone, non-server
setup. What does it do? The BusinessGuardian
device provides a single connection to the public network over ISDN BRI
or PRI. The associated software
is fully integrated with Microsoft’s NT/2000 architecture, Outlook and
Exchange applications, providing unified messaging and a range
of other CTI based voice and data applications.
This allows for telephone calls, emails, voice mails and faxes
to be received and managed at an employee’s desktop – using applications
and tools they already know and use today. For you and
your staff The benefits brought about by the BusinessGuardian
solution are many. For example,
the consolidation of lines to the public network immediately reduces running
costs. In addition, resources
can be shared, like access to Internet and email services. Sending outgoing faxes can be done from the Windows-based PC’s
using software provided – no more queuing at the fax machine, while incoming
faxes can be sent directly to a printer or e-mail inbox. Least Cost Routing
can be activated which directs your voice and data calls over the least
expensive network for that destination or time of day – particularly useful
for taking advantage of free local calls or reduced off-peak rates. Staff don’t have to be confined to the office to
keep in touch – voice messages and emails are stored in an employees'
mailbox and can be retrieved over the telephone where even emails can
be listened to. For your customers The PABX features support DID/DDI so clients can call directly to an extension. Auto attendant can be activated in the absence of a receptionist and transferred to their required destination by dialling the extension number required or by listening to a list of directory services and keying in the name of the person they wish to speak to. Caller Line Identifier (CLI) allows you to ‘see’ who is calling and, with the CTI software installed on the PC’s, can interface with database applications and ‘find’ the caller’s record as the call comes in. User profiles establish characteristics of individual extensions and direct the caller to the appropriate destination, giving greater control of incoming calls and ultimately enhancing customer service. |
